The Safety Assessment

A Safety Assessment helps identify bathroom conditions that may increase the risk of a slip or fall. During the visit, we learn how the space is used, where a person may feel unsteady, and where added support could make everyday movement safer. We then recommend practical grab bar locations designed to improve stability, reduce risk, and help the bathroom feel more secure.
Most assessments take 30 to 45 minutes. We move at the pace of the family — never rushed. If a loved one uses a walker, wheelchair, or is recovering from surgery, we take the extra time to observe how they actually move through the space.
Yes. It is a flat $149 for a complete in-home Safety Assessment, and it is credited toward the installation if you choose to move forward that same visit. You are never charged for a quote and there are no hidden fees.
The assessment focuses on the bathroom areas where support and stability matter most. We review the tub and shower area, toilet area, sink area, and bathroom entry to identify where professionally installed grab bars may help improve safety, confidence, and independence. We also consider the wall surface, available mounting locations, and the individual's specific needs before making a recommendation.
How the work is done

Grab Bar Installation

Each grab bar is installed using the safest mounting method for the wall structure and surface. Whenever possible, we secure the bar directly into structural framing. When a stud is not available in the proper location, we use professional-grade grab bar anchors and manufacturer-approved hardware designed for secure installation. Every bar is carefully positioned, tightened, inspected, and tested before we leave.
Yes. We can install grab bars through ceramic tile, porcelain, fiberglass, cultured marble, and many natural-stone surfaces using specialized tools and the appropriate mounting hardware. Each opening is carefully sealed as part of the installation to help protect the surrounding surface.
Yes. We install ADA-compliant grab bars — 1.25" to 1.5" diameter, mounted at heights and reach ranges guided by ADA and ANSI A117.1 accessibility standards. If a family member has specific clinical needs (occupational therapist recommendations, hospital discharge instructions), we install to match.
We install quality, ADA-compliant grab bars selected for strength, grip, and dependable everyday use. Available styles and finishes may include brushed stainless steel, polished chrome, matte black, white, and other options depending on product availability. During your assessment, we will review the available choices and help you select a grab bar that fits the bathroom and the needs of the person using it.
A typical bathroom is completed in the same visit — usually 1 to 2 hours. Whole-home safety packages with multiple rooms are completed in a single day. We protect the floors, clean up completely, and haul away all packaging.

No. Anyone can request a Safety Assessment. If your occupational therapist or discharge planner has already made recommendations, bring them — we install to those specifications exactly.
Yes, we may install grab bars in rental homes and apartments with written authorization from the property owner or authorized management company. Approval must be received before the assessment or installation is scheduled and must identify the approved bathroom and installation area. The renter is responsible for confirming that the work complies with the lease and the property owner's requirements. Open Rental Authorization Form (PDF).
What happens next

Scheduling & What to Expect

Most families are scheduled within 2 to 5 business days. If you are preparing for a hospital discharge, coming home from surgery, or navigating an urgent situation, tell us — we prioritize those visits and can often be there the next business day.
We arrive in a clearly marked vehicle, wearing a company shirt, with photo ID. We put on shoe covers, protect the work area, complete the assessment, walk through recommendations, and — if you'd like to proceed — install the same day. You are never left with an unfinished project.
A homeowner or authorized adult must be present at the start to walk through the assessment and approve the plan. After that, you're welcome to return to your day while we work.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Flexible payment options may also be available through our trusted third-party payment provider. Payment is completed before installation work begins, and a detailed receipt is provided for every transaction.
