If a separate signed agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the signed agreement will control for that specific service.

Information displayed on the website is general information and is not a guarantee that a particular installation can be completed.
Section 2 — Safety Assessment
A Safety Assessment is a professional evaluation of the requested bathroom area and installation conditions.
The current Safety Assessment fee is $149.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- The assessment fee is paid when the appointment is reserved
- The assessment fee reserves professional time and appointment availability
- The assessment fee is credited toward the applicable $579 Safe Home Package when the customer proceeds with the qualifying installation
- The assessment fee is not a separate discount beyond the stated package credit
- The assessment does not guarantee that installation can be completed
- Recommendations may change if concealed or unexpected conditions are discovered
- The customer is responsible for providing accurate property and contact information
The assessment fee, credit, rescheduling rules, and cancellation terms are also governed by the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Section 3 — Safe Home Package

Unless a written agreement states otherwise, the package may include:

Metro Detroit Grab Bars accepts approved credit cards, debit cards, and available flexible-payment options through an independent third-party payment provider.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- The $149 assessment payment is required to reserve the appointment
- The remaining approved installation balance is due before installation work begins
- Technicians do not accept cash
- Personal checks and direct ACH payments are not accepted unless specifically approved in writing
- Payment approval by a third-party provider is subject to that provider’s separate terms and eligibility requirements
- A submitted payment is not complete until successfully authorized and processed
- Applicable taxes may be added where required
Metro Detroit Grab Bars does not determine or guarantee approval for third-party financing or flexible-payment services.
Section 5 — Customer Authorization
Only the property owner or a person with lawful authority may authorize permanent installation work.
By requesting or approving service, the customer represents that:
- The customer owns the property or has legal authority to request the work
- The information provided is accurate
- The approved bathroom and installation area may be accessed
- Required property-owner, landlord, management, or association permission has been obtained
- The customer has disclosed known conditions that could affect installation
- The customer understands that grab-bar installation requires permanent wall penetrations
- The customer has reviewed and approved the proposed installation location before drilling begins
Metro Detroit Grab Bars may pause or decline work when authority, access, safety, payment, or property conditions cannot be confirmed.
Section 6 — Rental and Managed Properties
Installation in a rental home, apartment, condominium, assisted-living residence, or managed property requires written authorization from the property owner or authorized management representative.
The authorization must identify the approved property and installation area.
Submitting an authorization form:
- Does not guarantee installation
- Does not replace the Safety Assessment
- Does not establish that the wall or surface is suitable
- Does not authorize work outside the approved area
- Does not make Metro Detroit Grab Bars responsible for lease compliance
- Does not create an obligation to patch, repaint, replace tile, or restore the property at move-out
The renter or requesting party is responsible for confirming that the proposed work complies with the lease, property rules, and owner requirements.
Section 7 — Installation Conditions
Grab bars may be mounted into structural framing or with approved anchoring systems selected for the wall structure, surface, approved location, and product.
The customer understands that:
- Every installation site is different
- Stud locations may not match the preferred grab-bar location
- Concealed plumbing, wiring, ductwork, waterproofing, blocking, damage, or other conditions may not be visible before work begins
- Tile, stone, fiberglass, cultured marble, drywall, and other surfaces may react differently to drilling
- Existing materials may be brittle, loose, deteriorated, cracked, improperly installed, or unsupported
- Installation requires drilling and permanent wall penetrations
- Openings are sealed as part of the installation process
- Sealing does not create a blanket leak-proof or waterproof guarantee
- Installation may be declined if suitable mounting conditions cannot be established
Metro Detroit Grab Bars will use reasonable professional care and an appropriate installation method based on conditions reasonably observable at the time of service.
Section 8 — Concealed and Pre-Existing Conditions
Metro Detroit Grab Bars is not responsible for conditions that existed before service or that could not reasonably be identified through ordinary visual inspection.

- Code violations
- Pest damage
- Hazardous materials
- Undisclosed property conditions
If an unexpected condition is discovered, work may be paused or stopped. The customer will be informed when reasonably possible, and additional work will not be performed without appropriate authorization.
Section 9 — Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate contact and property information
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the bathroom
- Remove personal belongings from the immediate work area

- Follow reasonable safety instructions
- Make required payments when due
- Obtain required rental or property-management authorization
- Review completed work before the technician leaves when reasonably possible
- Report concerns promptly
Failure to provide safe access, accurate information, authorization, or required payment may result in delay, rescheduling, cancellation, or refusal of service.
Section 10 — Appointments, Access, and Delays
Appointment times are scheduled in good faith but may be affected by traffic, weather, emergencies, prior-job conditions, product availability, illness, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Customers should ensure that an authorized adult is present and that the service area is accessible.
Metro Detroit Grab Bars may reschedule, delay, or cancel an appointment when:
- The property cannot be accessed
- Required authorization is missing
- Payment has not been completed
- Conditions are unsafe
- The requested work exceeds the approved scope
- Suitable installation conditions cannot be established

Section 11 — Changes to the Approved Work
Changes requested after the assessment or after installation begins must be reviewed and approved.
Metro Detroit Grab Bars is not required to perform:

- Additional installations without written approval
- Work that causes the total contract to exceed applicable legal or company limits
- Work that requires a license, permit, certification, or trade outside the company’s approved scope
- Work that creates an unreasonable safety or liability risk
- Work that cannot be completed using an appropriate mounting method
No verbal statement changes the written scope unless Metro Detroit Grab Bars confirms the change in writing.

Identifiable photographs will not intentionally be used for public advertising without separate permission.
Section 13 — Safety Information and Limitations
Grab bars are intended to provide added support when properly selected, installed, maintained, and used.
No grab bar, assessment, recommendation, or installation can eliminate every risk of slipping, falling, injury, property damage, or medical emergency.

Product styles, sizes, finishes, ratings, and availability may change.
Metro Detroit Grab Bars may substitute a reasonably comparable product only with customer approval when the originally selected product is unavailable.
Product images, colors, and finishes displayed online may vary from the actual item because of lighting, screen settings, manufacturing changes, and supplier availability.
The customer should review the selected product before installation when reasonably possible.

This includes warranties relating to:

Metro Detroit Grab Bars does not guarantee that a manufacturer will approve a warranty claim, provide a replacement, issue a refund, perform a repair, or reimburse the customer.
Any written commitment concerning installation workmanship, if offered, applies only when specifically stated in the customer’s signed service agreement. It does not create or extend a warranty on the product itself.
Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
